going to the Mt. Carmel festival
We walked to the festival tonight. Emma enjoyed some lemonade in her sippy cup and some of daddy's fried dough. On the way home, we ran into Grandma and Grandpa Lieberg at Jerry's and they shared some of their ice cream with her. It was a good day!

Happy Birthday Emma!
It's hard to believe that our beautiful baby girl is now one year old. The year has flown by, and we remember this day one year ago just like it was yesterday. We thought we were happy then- we never could have imagined how much joy and love one little girl could bring into our lives. We have treasured our first year together (and posted 468 pictures to document it) and we look forward to what the future brings for Emma! Keep checking the blog- we may start a new one for her since she isn't technically "baby lieberg" anymore! We will be sure to post a link to the new blog whenever that happens!

Today we took Emma to Manry for a birthday swim. It was about 81 degrees but a bit breezy so we didn't stay too long.

Happy Dad's Day!
We had a nice Father's Day today. We went out to breakfast and later to the Strawberry Festival. Then we saw Grandma and Grandpa Ristau and Auntie Mal, and later Grandma and Grandpa Lieberg. We finished off our day with some ice cream from Jerry's and then Emma took a bath. Tomorrow is the BIG DAY!!! Someone's turning one at 8:28 a.m.!
New Playhouse
Emma loves her new playhouse from Grandma and Grandpa Lieberg. We put it down the basement so she has somewhere to play on a rainy day.

Emma doesn't quite know what to do with this toy from Grandpa and Grandma Ristau but she is very interested in it!
"Happy Birthday to You"
We practiced singing this song to prepare Emma, and she used to "blow out the candles" as we sang. At her party, she seemed more interested in watching everyong sing than in blowing out her candle! We love her reaction to it all.

Emma's Birthday Bash
Today we celebrated Emma's first birthday a few days early with our family and closest friends. The weather was beautiful and everyone had a great time! Grandma Ristau made Emma this Elmo cake. (The party was Elmo themed.) We are uploading more photos and video of Emma with her smash cake, which will be up later. We want to thank all our friends and family for sharing this special event with us, for their company and their generosity. Emma is a lucky little girl!

Today Emma swam in an outdoor pool for the first time. Lea and Nicole were so helpful and they played with her for an hour and a half!

Emma loves her new tent!
Emma loves her new tent that Auntie Mal gave her. It is from a family she babysits for who outgrew it. Emma wants to thank them for giving her a new fun toy!

Emma came and visited her mommy and some friends from mommy's class on Thursday for the students' end-of-the-year splash party.

Emma loves her new bathing suit from Aunt Amy, Uncle Christian, Julia and Joshua. She hopes they can come up for her birthday so they can see it in person....
